Definition:
Joint Ventures are an amazing and powerful way to promote your website(s)
- do NOT underestimate the power of partnering with other marketers.
Here are some examples and benefits of Joint Ventures:
-
Link Swap.
Offering to add a Link (url or www. address) of someone that offers
a complementary service in the hopes that they will put your link on
their website. This can be referred to as a *link-swap* and is one
of the oldest techniques in the industry.
Example: I write to a famous Affiliate Marketer and
tell them that I love their product/service (as long as I really
do!) and explain that I'm going to put a link to their site on my
website. Hopefully, they'll check out our site
and want to put the following link:
www.moneyonlinereview.com on their site, so that their customers
can benefit from all this great information we provide here.
Benefits: If a famous Affiliate Marketer puts
www.moneyonlinereview.com
on their site, consider the increased traffic heading our way
(and hopefully the traffic is reciprocated to our famous Affiliate Marketer from our site)!
Furthermore, several search engines rank our sites popularity by the
amount of people that have links to our site. The more
www.moneyonlinereview.com
links the web community have, the more popular we are and the
higher we'll rank on the search engines! Finally, getting
a mentioning anywhere will increase peoples awareness and
establish credibility for our site.
-
Asking a fellow marketer to
recommend our site to their eMail list.
Example: If we find a site that generally talks about
making money but doesn't focus on making money online, we could
approach the owner and explain that our site might be very helpful
to his eMail list. (most websites have a list off people that
subscribe to a newsletter or eZine. Hopefully, you subscribe
to the MoneyOnlineReview Newsletter!)
Benefits: The owner of the list is happy because
he/she looks awesome by helping his/her eMail list to find more
specific information. We get more targeted traffic as
the people that will be coming are way want to make money. Our
name gets sent out and it's great PR.
-
Teaming up with another
Marketer to create a Product.
Example: I know quite a bit about developmental books
and I'm interested in writing an eBook to sell. The problem is
that I don't know how to write an eBook, nor how to promote it.
Instead of reading yet another 'How-To' book, I could ask someone
who has already created and promoted one, to help me and we'll split
the profits.
Benefits: Our helper will make some easy money
and we'll create profit much quicker than trying it blindly
ourselves. We'll get experience and the ability to do
the next one ourselves. Once again, our presence increases
and we become more visible to the online world!
As
you can imagine, these are only a few of the many possibilities for Joint Ventures.
From what I've discovered thus far, people in the industry are ALWAYS up
for a good joint venture. The online marketing community are eager
to help others and help themselves. It's a win-win environment and
Joint Ventures play a huge part in peoples success.
To
get the full run down on Joint Ventures and how to actually approach
people, buy '33 Days to Online Profits,' by Yanik Silver and Jim Edwards, www.33daystoonlineprofits.com
or before you buy, read my review here.
(In fact...if you haven't bought this book yet, you're either crazy or
already know everything!)
